Perfect for use with our Ammonium Nitrate for use in Exploding targets. It simply doesn't get any better at any price.

When used with our Ammonium nitrate to make exploding targets the mix is approximately 5% aluminum. You only need to coat the AN with the AL, any extra AL is just wasted. The mix ratio is not critical. So to much AL just makes extra smoke and waste money, to little AL less powerful or may not work. The aluminum easily clings to the ammonium nitrate prills. As long as the AN is coated black you have a optimum mix. An easy way effective way to mix is to use a zip lock plastic bag.

Warning! If you are making exploding targets first make sure it is legal in you State and local. By making a AN/AL mix for exploding targets, you are making a high explosive. As of this writing there is no Federal law preventing most people from doing so for their own personal non commercial use. How ever you need to be aware that once mixed, Federal law will not allow you to transport the mix on public roads or public transportation under D.O.T. and other regs. Also you must use it the same day you mix it and can not store it over night unless you have an approved ATF explosive magazine.

No need to put the mix in a confined container to use as a target. A plastic baggie works just fine and may be the safest way to use it.

Please do not under any circumstances use the mix in a metal container as it could through pieces that can be deadly. Also it could be illegal to do so as you could be accused as constructing a destructive device.
